Everyone sits quietly at their desks, thinking and thinking, just when they’d rather be out tending cows or weeding the garden.Certain homeschooling styles would be the exception. I do wonder in what ways I can include my son in my tasks around the house. We are not farmers, so there remains anything I do with my tools. The problem is that tools can be very destructive, esp. in the hands of a three-year-old. But he wants more than anything to use the tools. Sometimes I let him bring tools to me, and I gave him his own ratchet screw driver to attempt driving in screws on occasion. "When you're older" seems to be an acceptable reason for rejecting his every request to handle my tools.
